The
wide angle construction yields a flattering cross between a triangle
shawl and long stole.
Hand dyed, variegated yarns
bring out the beauty of the simple garter-stitch body of this shawl.
The beaded lace border is worked at the same time as the body of the
shawl. Beads are placed on stitch loops with a small crochet
needle and knitted in as needed.
Construction begins at the
point. Length and width can be easily adjusted proportionately by
working more or fewer rows before completing the shawl with the upper
lace border.
Sizing: 20" deep and
62" wide.
Gauge: 24 stitches/33
rows per 4" over garter stitch.
Supplies needed to complete
the shawl:

- U.S. 8/1.25 mm steel

If planning to increase the
size of the shawl, please plan on extra yardage and beads.
