Raw silk that is good quality, affordable and currently available in laceweight.  Put-up for knitters by Fiddlesticks Knitting, it is also an excellent weaving yarn.

Put-up of this lovely laceweight silk yarn is 50 gm/240 meter (262.5 yd.) balls.  Wraps per inch = 18.  Gauge over stockinette is 7 st./in.  Recommended needle size 2-3 U.S. 

Weaving sett = 9 epi for plain weave, 14 epi for twill or 18 epi for an undulating or multi-shaft twill.  One ball is sufficient for a plain weave scarf width in the reed of 6", 67" woven (measured without tension). 

Almost any of HeartStrings' knitting patterns calling for laceweight yarn would be beautiful in Lace Sensation.  The following patterns require only a small amount of yarn.
