Chevron Lace Gardens - #W11
One can imagine a walk through a
flower garden in this beautiful floral lace sweater. The
variegated color waves are reminiscent of water with an edging of
pebbles.
The main yarn pictured in this
version of Chevron Lace Gardens is natural
Serenity. The contrast bands are a small amount of handspun
cotton yarn.
Serenity would work equally as well and to maintain the look of the
outdoors, select a colorway like Blue Bayou (shown below), Red Bluff or
Rose Garden.

sew. 3 sizes, 32 (36,40)", 900 (1000, 1100) yds. for main yarn and 90 (

Shaped Tee
with Collar - #W28
This T-top is simple to knit but not
simplistic. Hand made look vs. home made. Texture and/or
color add to the design of this sweater so that you can enjoy knitting
and let the yarn do the work for you.
It has a straight body line in simple stockinette
stitch with garter stitch bands. Enhancements to the basic T-top
shape include an asymmetrical split collar and non-boxy short sleeves.
Flattering, comfortable fit.
The pattern calls for worsted weight or use two strands of finer yarn to
come up to an equivalent thickness. Yardage needed - 925-1200.
Gauge is 5 stitches per inch over stockinette.
Combining two strands of yarn to obtain
gauge can give very interesting affects. Combine matte-finish or
textured yarns with ones that have high sheen. Combine two hand
painted colorways to create a colorway uniquely your own. Or if you're
on a budget, one hand painted yarn with a mill dyed. Shown on the left
are just a few possibilities.
If you're small to average size, you
can knit a one-of-a-kind sweater with hand painted yarn for as little as
$36.
Suggested needle size 7 U.S. (4.5 mm) or size to
obtain planned gauge plus size 4 or 3 sizes smaller than size needed for
gauge in 16" and 24" length circular needles. An extra
needle in larger size is needed for joining shoulders. skill level:
Advanced beginner - basic skills for cast on, bind off, knit, purl, slip,
pick up, increase, and knitting in the round on circular needles.

The
Waves and Flowers Shell - #W1
The Waves and Flowers shell is a
classic-fit, short-sleeved lace sweater. The combination of
lace waves, flower motifs, and staggered eyelets give a lot of interest to
a sweater made with a solid colored smooth yarn. This is a sweater
that you will wear for years to come as it is a classic style. The wave lace
pattern forms a natural scalloped edging and is featured on the lower body
and sleeve borders.
The motifs in the pattern
instructions are scaled for each size, so you always get the same pleasing
composition shown here.
3 sizes, 35 (39-¼,43-½)",
750 (850, 950) yds. sportweight yarn, 5-½ st/in., 6 U.S./4.0mm. Model
pictured is smallest size made with 7-50g skeins of Tahki Cotton Classic,

Any Gauge Sweater - #W40
You may use any
yarn knit to a suitable gauge for this sweater!
The
bias construction in the body of the sweater makes a fabric with extra
drape and offers exciting design possibilities when using hand painted yarns
or multiple yarns of similar weight knit in easy stripes. The bias
lines are very slimming. The neckline features a fold-down lapel where
you can feature a nice pin.
And check out the options! Options include stockinette or reverse
stockinette body texture and sleeve styles in sleeveless, short or long.
The sample is knit in one of my yarns and is fun to knit! Easy to
follow calculation chart/worksheet included with the pattern guides you to
suggested needle sizes for fingering weight through bulky weight yarns and
