Knit
two scarves with one kit! Hand painted, variegated color
creates peaks and valleys of color in this easy-to-knit scarf.
Knitting on just
37 stitches and 2 easy rows makes this an easily memorized pattern for a
carry-along project. I knitted the
identical scarf shown on the left while visiting with
friends. It makes a great carry-along project.
The
Peaks and Valleys Scarf almost has a ribbed look making it equally
suited for a woman or man depending on your choice of
colorways.
Blocked measurements
are 5½ by 68". Length and/or width are easily adjusted for your
preferences.
Serenity cotton/rayon, an
all-time favorite fingering weight yarn in the Heritage yarns
collection, is the featured yarn in this kit. There is enough
yardage (700) on the skein to knit two scarves - one scarf for yourself
and one for a friend, making this a very affordable, hand painted, hand
knit scarf.
Recommended needle size is a
size 4 U.S. Gauge is 6-1/2 st./in. over stockinette but not
extremely important with scarves. So, knit at the gauge you like
and enjoy wearing this scarf.
The kit contains:
-
the
space-saver version of the Peaks and Valleys Scarf
-
one 8 oz./700 yd.
skein of hand painted Serenity cotton/rayon
-
a reusable, organza-trimmed, drawstring
knitting kit
bag that will stand conveniently next to your favorite chair
