This scarf pattern is one of the old favorites in the HeartStrings collection of scarf knitting patterns and is a good way to study the nature of lace.

Allow 500 yds. or 2-3 oz. of lace or fingering weight yarn for blocked measurements of 12" X 68".  The size of the scarf is easily adjustable in both width and length with and adjustment of yardage.   Gauge:  average of 5-1/2 st./in. over combination of border and main patterns after blocking under tension.  Suggested needle size:  5 U.S. (3.75 mm).
