Detail of
Maple Leaves Scarf

My Beading Heart was designed and knitted by Jackie E-S in
Jaggerspun Zephyr 2/18 silk merino in Mulberry and Plum. The
subtle difference in the two colors and the addition of beads gives
an iridescent effect.

Jagger Spun Zephyr 2/18 may
also be put to good use by combining with another laceweight yarn
like
8/2 Tencel as in
Peggy's Shawl on the left. Rather than using two strands
of tencel, I decided that the strand of Zephyr would lighten the
shawl and add warmth. It is a nice, lightweight warm shawl.
The hand painted colorway is Peacock Iridescence combined with ebony
Zephyr 2/18.

Jagger Spun Zephyr 2/18 silk/merino.
For a weaving warp, sett
at 18 for plain weave, 24 for twill or higher for a fancy or
undulating twill. Or use it as weft with one of the
hand painted yarns as
warp or with a
painted warp.

"Because of an on-going commitment
(personal) to knit a lot of fall and winter clothes for a 3-year-old
darling granddaughter, I hadn't done a lot with the Jagger Spun Zephyr
2/18 that I purchased in a special package from Heritage Yarns. But
I couldn't resist doing something with one skein, at least. I had
to close my eyes and pick one at random because the colors were all so
lovely and inviting. I picked copper -- and immediately started a scarf
in the Vine Trellis pattern on size 4 needles. It is, to use a
word from commercials, the yarn is "scrumdillyicious"! It feels
terrific in my hands, running across my fingers. It knits up into
a soft, lovely fabric that shows clear stitch definition. And I
love it! So much so, in fact, that I've gone back and bought more
colors! The next scarf will be crocheted just for a change.
My big problem right now is that I'm not sure which of my friends should
get one of these lovelies as a gift!" ~ "Peg of Austin"

I received the yarns and
the pattern today and they are just stunning. You were absolutely right
about the blueberry. I will knit these and then be back for more. Once
again, thank you so much. I am so impressed with your service! Annie
