Jackie designed this lace to give the illusion of dimensionality, rather like the bellows on a concertina. This small accordian-like instrument mesmerizes everyone with its happy music and wavelike rhythm as the bellows are pushed in and pulled out.

Can be knitted in any fingering weight yarn suitable for making socks. The socks pictured were knitted in Nature’s Palette 100% merino wool (50g/185 yard), 2 skeins color Medium Indigo.

Dainty and dignified lace-patterned socks for the country girl at heart. Socks are slightly shaped below calf for a trim fit at ankle.  Adult medium. 375 yards fingering weight. 8 sts./inch, size 1 U.S/.2.5 mm. Notch-edged bias lace panel ribbing at cuff transitions into an arrow-head lace pattern, that narrows toward the ankle and continues into the instep. The arrow-head lace then changes into subtle ribbing along top of foot.

A simple lace pattern makes into a zigzag ribbed sock with a slight scalloped edge. Choice of plain or banded heel flap where the pattern extends downward on each side of a modified square heel.  Instep transitions from the lace pattern into a 5/1 rib and ends with a swirl decrease toe. Pattern includes both charts and line-by-line text instructions.  Adult medium.  225 - 300 yards sport weight yarn, depending on length of foot. 6-½ st./in., 2 U.S./3.0 mm.

The classic great fitting ribbed sock with distinctive styling. Easy-to-knit left and right-angled patterned bands embellish ribbing on legs. If you have an aversion or "allergy" to wool, here is a split-cuffed sock designed especially for cottons and cotton-blend yarns.  However, don't let that stop you if you prefer wool.  It is easily adaptable.

Adult medium.  210 yards sportweight or DK weight yarn, 6-½ stitches/inch, size U.S. 2/3.0 mm needles suggested, and 50 yards in coordinating or contrast color.  Shown in Heirloom Cotton-blend Breeze yarn color Dusty Rose and Heirloom Cotton color Pink.  Written instructions.
