Hanging Vines Stole - #A26
This pattern is much
easier than it looks and is very versatile.
The width of this
stole is variable and can be as wide as 52 inches for a nice
sofa throw with length of up to 72 inches. A smaller
version would make a nice lap blanket or shawl.
Any fine yarn in lace weight
to fingering weight can be used. Size 6 U.S. (4.0 mm)
needles are suggested. A 24" to 32" length circular needle
is suggested for ease in working the wider styles, such as shawls and sofa
throws. Gauge: average of 4-1/2 sts. and 6 rows per inch over
pattern after blocking under tension. Yardage required varies from
350 yards for a narrow neck scarf to 1800 yards for a sofa throw.
Lighter colorways such as
Summer
Haze and
Sagebrush (shown on the left in
Serenity
cotton/rayon) show the pattern best.
If you're looking for
lightweight warmth and easy-care,
Jojoland Melody Superwash wool is an excellent choice.
