Add sparkle to your next lace knitting project with beads.  Jackie is the expert when it comes to designing a lace knitting pattern that incorporates beads.  From the easy to the more challenging, I think you will enjoy knitting these scarves.  Start out with A Beaded Bias Towards Lace Scarf if you are a beginning lace knitter and work your way up.

Whether you select an easy pattern or one more challenging, you are sure to have a scarf with sparkle that does not look like it came off the shelf at the store!

As a reminder, the red letters in the yarn description are of the yarn weight

Beaded Basketweave Ensemble - #A133

Beaded scarf and matching split-cuff anklets make up this beautiful coordinating set. Knit in two colors of DK weight yarn of your choice and size 6/0 seed beads.

The scarf has a soft, cushioned appearance due to the basket-weave structure. The center portion of the scarf is a slip-stitch pseudo ribbing that gives an extra-soft cushion of comfort around your neck.

Finished size of the scarf is 45" long x 7" wide on the beaded ends.  The un-beaded portion around the neck is 5-3/4" wide.  Size 7 U.S. (4.5 mm) needles suggested.

Crew Socks are sized for Adult Small [Medium, Large]. Size 2 and 5 [6, 7] U.S. (2.75 and 3.75 [4, 4.5] mm) needles suggested.

A Beaded Bias Towards Lace Scarf Knitting Kit features hand painted 8/2 tencel.  Model is featured in Bird of Paradise.  The kit is pictured below.

A Beaded Bias Towards Lace Scarf - #A60

This is the very easiest of lace patterns.  Color moves diagonally in this scarf because of the bias design and makes a striking scarf.  Let the yarn and simple design do the work for you with a hand painted, variegated yarn.  The pattern includes directions for an optional crochet beaded edge.

Yarn suggestions:  (F)

The kit includes:

  • The space-saver version of the pattern

  • 325 yds. of Heritage Yarns hand painted 8/2 tencel

  • 15 gm of complementary Miyuki 8/0 beads

  • Organza-trimmed drawstring project bag

Or choose from any of these fine yarns:

This is a fun scarf to knit!

My Beading Heart Scarf - #H47

This fashionable, lightweight scarf is a little faster to knit than the average beaded scarf.  Laceweight yarn in close-valued hues is doubled to add depth of texture and color.  Another double feature is the different, yet coordinating, beaded ends of the scarf.  The central portion of the scarf is worked in an easier bias fashion with beads along the edges for a lighter weight scarf that will pleat nicely around the neck.

Allow 400 yards of lace weight yarn for 5" x 56" scarf.  Gauge = 6 stitches/inch over beaded lace pattern stitch with yarn doubled, size U.S. 7/4.5 mm needles suggested.  25 g size 8/0 seed beads.  Charted and written stitch instructions included in pattern.
