Knit
a one-of-a-kind, beaded lace scarf with hand painted tencel. The
optional crocheted edge of complementary beads adds the final
touch of elegance.
Hand painted, variegated
colors run along the bias creating a slimming effect. The
yarn becomes part of the design.
This is the simplest of lace
scarves and, if you have never knitted lace, knit this scarf
first. I think you will be delighted with how easy it is
to knit a beautiful lace scarf. The pattern includes
written instructions and only one pattern row that is easily
memorized.
The kit includes:
-
the space-saver version of A Beaded Bias Towards Lace Scarf
-
325 yds. of hand painted Heritage Yarns 8/2 tencel
-
15 g of 8/0
Miyuki beads
-
drawstring project bag pictured below
The sheen and hand of 8/2
tencel are only surpassed by silk bombyx. Have the look
plus unsurpassed drape without the price! As an added
benefit, I guarantee that these skeins contain no knots.
Like silk, 8/2 tencel is a
little slippery so, I recommend knitting with wooden or bamboo
needles to control sliding.
The picture above shows the scarf in Heritage Yarns Magic Carpet
Ride novelty rayon that is no longer available. Look for a
picture of a finished scarf in 8/2 tencel soon.

A Beaded Bias Towards
Lace Scarf Knitting Kit components are shown
on the left in the Bird of Paradise colorway. I think you will
enjoy the project bag that comes with this kit. It is
trimmed in organza and can be used again for other purposes.
The bottom is square so that it sits nicely next to your
knitting station or you can drape the handles over your arm and
knit as you walk.
