Home and Personal Accessories

For gifts or personal wear or small items to accessorize your home, I think you will enjoy these knitting patterns for small accessories.

Crossed Loop Market Bag Oak Leaf Medallion
Lace-Edged Hanky Mini Lace and Beaded Flag

Crossed Loop Market Bag

On your next trip out, whether locally or long distance, carry along a market bag or two in your handbag or luggage.  The Crossed Loop Market Bag instructions include two sizes and scrunch down to almost nothing and will expand nicely for special finds along the way.  The larger size would make a nice beach bag.

Jackie suggests a firm cotton such as 5/2 cotton.  There is ample yardage with Premier 5/2 for 2 bags.

Oak Leaf Medallion - #A54

Another quick gift idea for all those little gifts we seem to need around Christmas.

Use up little bits of fine yarn to create some one-of-a-kind bookmarks for your fiber friends or book club members; 8/2 tencel comes to mind, especially for the tasseled version, as it has such a luxurious hand.

Knit a doily in a heavier weight yarn, like Serenity or 5/2 perle cotton, for a doily or coaster.
