If you're looking for a cool, comfortable fiber with lots of drape and sheen, these 3 yarns are for you. All 3 are suited for knitters, weavers and crocheters. (If you are considering River for weaving, use for weft only.)

Wraps per inch = 32/Laceweight

Suggested sett = 20-30 epi

Gauge over lace = 6-1/2-7/in.

Wraps per inch = 20/Light fingering weight

Suggested sett = 10-14 epi

Gauge over stockinette = 5/in.

Elegantly Simple Triangular Shawl Knitalong

The Elegantly Simple Triangular Shawl Knit Along starting date was May 1, 2006 and many are continuing to knit. The knitalong blog will continue to function, to encourage people who are knitting this pattern. Look for more exciting things to come.

The shawl on the left was knitted in Blue Bayou 8/2 Tencel. I could have made it a lot larger as I had more than half of the skein remaining but decided this was a good size for me.

Model shown was knitted in one skein of Bird of Paradise Cloud 9 cotton/rayon. It is now available in a kit or purchase the pattern and yarn separately.
