Antique Satin and Lace Ornament - #A81

Imagine a Christmas tree filled with Antique Satin and Lace Ornaments.  Or gift a friend with a keepsake ornament that will trim the tree for generations to come.

The lace knitted in the model was knitted with unbleached linen and pearl seed beads and applied to a purchased white satin ornament.  Use the pattern as written or as lace edging on towels, runners or other fine linens.

Size 20 crochet thread or equivalent, 10/0 seed beads, U.S. 1 needles, commercial satin or glass ornament.

Bells on My Toes - #A93

Quick to knit for tree and package trimming - and with simple beading techniques.  This is a good first-time beading project if you have never knitted with beads.

Fingering weight yarn, 2 U.S. needles, size 8/0 seed beads. Finished size approximately 4" long overall.

Yarn suggestions:  (F)

  • Serenity cotton/rayon - Make a bevy of these in this yarn (8 oz./700 yds./skein!) and don't worry about moths from year to year!
  • Kollage Luscious cotton sock yarn - a wonderfully soft, yarn available in Snowy as shown on the left or treat yourself to red ornaments knitted in Cherry.

Ruby 8/2 Tencel

Knitted Ribbons - #A70

A hand knit ribbon, for a special gift, becomes part of the gift.  The ribbon shown is one of two in the pattern of Jackie E-S's.  The model shown is knitted in natural cotton/metallic and would be equally as nice in a shiny, colored yarn such as 8/2 tencel.
