Hand Painted Cloud 9
Cotton/Rayon by Heritage Yarns is a very pleasant knitting yarn for
those wanting to knit with cotton rather than wool. The light
stretch in Cloud 9 is easy on the hands.
It is a laceweight
yarn and especially nice in knitted scarves, shawls and baby blankets.
The
fiber content is 50% cotton/50% rayon with a hand as light as a cloud.
The rayon content gives the yarn just enough weight and sheen and the
cotton content helps the finished item hold its shape. The contrast
of the unmercerized cotton and sheen of the rayon is quite nice and gives
depth of color not seen on yarns of 100% of either fiber.
It is equally successful as a weft yarn and with care and experience can
be used successfully as a warp yarn sett at approximately 8-12 EPI; lash
on for best tension results.
